Description:
Dr Aaron Voon graduated with MBBS (Honours) from UWA. He was awarded the Boots Prize and CB Kidd Memorial Prize in Psychiatry. He is a Fellow of the RANZCP and completed his advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He has worked in numerous public hospital and community settings around Perth and currently provides consultation to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in addition to his private practice. He also lectures senior medical students from the University of Western Australia and is heavily involved in teaching and examination of psychiatric and pediatric trainees. He gives regular presentation on pediatric mental health to non government organizations, General Practitioners and the wider community.
He has a special interest in working with young children and their families. He has significant experience with pharmacotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy of children. He practices using a combined approach and likes to work colla
