Description:

CBERS Consultancy was established as a part-time service in January 2006, and carries forward the some of the counselling and advocacy roles formerly provided by CBERS Services in Subiaco.

The service is funded exclusively by the Christian Brothers, and is "functionally independent from the Congregation of Christian Brothers, but financially accountable to it".

CBERS Consultancy also provides counselling services to former residents of Sisters of Mercy and Sisters of Nazareth childcare institutions, through funding provided by these Orders.

CBERS Consultancy is operated by Dr Philippa White, who coordinates the counselling and other support services. The privately-run consultancy is located within the offices of the Edmund Rice Institute for Social Justice, and functions independently of the Institutes's operations.
