Qualifications: B.A (UWA) M. Science.(Sir John Cass College London); M. Applied Psych (Murdoch Uni).
Mrs Macartney has professional experience in psychology (intellectual disability in UK and Western Australia), Neuropsychology (Health Dept. WA, 14 years) and clinical psychology (including Graylands Hospital, Homes of Peace) and now in private practice for past 14 years.
In addition to a full time private practice in West Perth and Mosman Park Mrs Macartney also works in the area of Dementia research, clinical drug trials (McCusker Foundation for Alzheimer's disease Research).
Mrs Macartney' psychotherapeutic work focuses mainly on adult individual therapy (and some couples therapy). The areas of her professional interest include: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, separation, divorce, grief, adjustment to loss and disability; self identity and self esteem issues.
