Kathy worked for 15 years as a Telephone Counsellor at Lifeline, as well as working as a Face to Face Counsellor for Lone Fathers (now known as Dad’s @ Lifeline). Kathy is a senior registered nurse employed in acute nursing and has an interest in stress related to illness and work situations. Kathy also has an interest in Grandparents raising their grandchildren and Fathers who are unable to have contact with their children following relationship breakdown. Kathy has a deep empathy for all people, as well as an interest in the loss that people feel when a beloved pet dies, she feels that this need is rarely met nor understood by many people in the community. The Rainbow Bridge support pet loss group is a free service Kathy offers when people are struggling coming to terms with pet loss. Kathy has a deep commitment to wildlife conservation; together with helping underprivileged people with composition of letters to various authorities, these services are voluntary.
