Whilst we are open to and interested in many types of psychotherapy & counselling, The Churchill Clinic offers practices and trainings specifically in Analytic Psychotherapy and Analytic Counselling.
Analytic Psychotherapy and Counselling are the fields of depth therapies that have evolved, and continue to, through the traditions of Psychoanalysis, Analytical Psychology, philosophical inquiry and spiritual directions. They are concerned with the meaning of experience and behavior. When we speak of meaning, we are pointing to an understanding of ourselves in our lives, in the world, that is essentially our own. In other words, meaning is personal to each of us, rather than fixed or derived from some external source.
